Names
Do you have a relative that has an unsual name? Have you made fun of that name? I certainly have and I feel really bad about doing so now. Mary Leatha Roskelley is listed as just Leatha in the census, but the "a" looked like an "e" with another loop that made it look like a "r". This prompted me to make fun of the child named Leather. Turns out her name was Mary Leatha and she died when she was only 23 due to a heart attack while getting a tooth removed.
From now on I will refrain from making fun of unusual names. I apologize Mary Leatha Roskelley. :(

Roskelleys in the Census
I don't want to pay the subscription fee to ancestry.com, but luckily my library lets patrons have access to Heritage Quest Online. HQO has census records (except for 1930) and I have been able to find many of Samuel Roskelley's wives and children (and even grandchildren).
Samuel Roskelley (and his kids) can be found in these censuses, Smithfield, Cache, Utah:
1870-Series: M593, Roll:1610, Page:169A
1880-Series: T9-1336, pages 208 A and B,
1900-Series:T623. Roll: 1682. Page: 343, image 3.
1910- Series: T624 Roll:1602
In the 1900 Census (Smithfield, Cache, Utah) Samuel's wife Sarah Maud Burton and their kids, Marriner, Clara, Lorenzo, & Gilbert, are listed under Sarah's maiden name. (Series: T623 Roll: 1682 Page: 351A. ED# 84).
Obviously, I do wish I could afford ancestry.com, because I would love to access birth, death, and military records.

Samuel Roskelley's wives
I'm a descendant of Mary Jane Rigby Roskelley .
(I did not get a picture of Mary Florence Kelsey, because she is not in the same area as the others-who are by Samuel).

Smithfield Cemetery
Uploading headstone pictures to http://www.findagrave.com/ (also check out www.namesinstone.com for maps cemeteries).
Majority of them are the Roskelley family, with a few Corbetts. (Both are related through my Grandma Viola).
Here are a couple:
Samuel Roskelley is my Great-Great-Grandfather (via Viola's father), he was married to six wives and had 30+ children!
Daniel & Alvaretta are my great-great-grandparents (via Viola's mother)
Both of these headstones are in the Smithfield Cemetery with a lot more Roskelleys.

It would be great to have a party to celebrate Eldon & Viola's 70th anniversary this year, but everyone is so busy, it might be impossible to get everyone together.
We at least need an updated picture!

Grandpa & Grandma Clark
My Blog
My blog will have posts from my genealogy including photos, obituaries, and even family trees.
Surnames I'm "researching": (most of the research on some of these names has already been done!)
Clark, Johnson, Roskelley, Corbett
Burdick, Stroup, Ralston -Pennsylvania, New York, & Rhode Island
I hope to go to Logan & Smithfield Cemeteries soon to get pictures.
This might be boring to some people, but putting these pictures on the internet is a great way to keep them!
